Project Description:
In 2023, Dessy Agro established two model demonstration farms in Osun and Ogun states to promote farmer education and build trust in our sprouted Tenera oil palm seedlings. These farms were created to showcase real-time performance—including correct spacing, rapid growth, early fruiting, and proper field management.
They serve as live classrooms during field visits, training sessions, and social media content creation, giving farmers hands-on experience with best practices. Monthly photo documentation tracks and highlights visible progress, which is shared online to reach a wider audience.
Outcome:
The model farms have helped convert skeptical farmers into confident adopters, enhancing education, social media engagement, and our reputation for transparency and results in palm farming.
